Lumorah was born from a deep love of nature and a strong empathic soul.

 

After moving her family west, Mekala Porier found her home on the Washougal river. The land was a bit run down and trashed, but she felt a deep energy and love in her chest telling her this was it, the place she could build her vision. A land of healing.

We’ve removed about 2 tons of trash that was buried and cut back severe invasive blackberry. A small house was built along with a shed, 3 coops, and 25 large raised garden beds. We cut trails throughout, and partnered with the conservation district to bring back beavers with new trees. 

​

Lumorah has its past, just like all of us do, but on the site the land is forgiving and healing, built to ease the tension in your body and mind. Our activities range from daily leisure to overnight stays and extended classes.
